Same, i bought like 11 SARs from the set including the roaring moon and raging bolt and it was like $90 CAD lol. Most of them are <1000 yen. I guess the eeveelutions are taking the attention away from some incredible cards. Fantastic value here!!

I agree! lol. Curious what you’d expect to happen next. This does feel more like shining fates imo. Overly speculated, later gets print nuked into the ground. I will term it “The Vindictive Reprint”. We could see more of a shining fates situation. ETBs were likewise over $100 per ETB on release, IIRC it was $150? Check me on that memory though.

It’s all in the hands of TPC. I’m not sure what will happen in the short term, but I will expect this set (alongside the upcoming Team Rocket set and 151) to be the best of the S/V Era.

There is a very important difference between Shining Fates and Prismatic Evolutions though: Prismatic Evolutions doesn’t suck 
A set with only 1 real chase card, much higher pull rates, and a much smaller pool of cards in the highest rarity is not gonna hold up as well, I expect Prismatic to do much better even if it gets printed into the ground

Thanks for the detailed response. I agree that I didn’t think it was a specific event, but the pile up of many things in modern we have been seeing. I’ll be interested to see where we are in modern come 6 months from now.

I love her intricate designs and linework shadowing with unique bordering. That grimoire looks wonderful. Wish she had more freedom with the pokemon to embellish it some since those have felt distinctly not in her style but I’m going to need to get a copy of the glaceon in japanese to see that backgrounds texture.

I highly doubt the cards will be the current chase cards. Probably boring regular ex or new alts from a later set (high class)

If Pokémon putting the actual chase cards inside this set and mass producing would be an incredible troll. Imagine spending thousands on Umbreon ex on release and then a few months later it’s $10.

Undaunted was a couple of years before I got back in, but yes it basically did. The Prime cards were included in a promo box. Those prime cards were always lower in price because they were in the set and the promo box, wiith no differences
