It’s been a quiet year, then suddenly the releases are coming at us at once.
The 30th cards - releases in 2 weeks (some longer for the promos). I’d just wait a month or 2. So many packs printed, there will be so many packs opened, singles will be cheap.
Paradise Resort was just released at Worlds a few days ago. I bought a sealed pack of all languages, so if you want a non English non Japanese language, I got you covered!
The Eevee ex starter set has been out for nearly a month. Can get a sealed deck for like $45 on ebay. Keeping 1 copy of the 3 Eevees and the 1 Jolteon, and trying to sell the other 56 cards isn’t going to take much off the initial cost, as the “other” cards are difficult to sell for even a few cents profit.

Do we think it’s safe to assume the 30th celebration cards (specifically 116/117/118 as examples) will have reverse holo counterparts? 116 has the cosmos holo variant too, so that’s one extra
Not sure if it has been officially stated that there are no reverse holo cards but all cards in the set have been mentioned to be holo cards and i think enough leaked packs have been opened to confirm the absence of reverse holos
No evidence to suggest the 30th Celebrations Eevee from the 2 pack blister will be Cosmos Holo, no mention of “exclusive foil card” seen on packaging, blisters have previously released with standard holo cards and as far as I’m aware the last Celebrations set had 0 variants aside from the ones in WC Decks and this new set looks like it’s following the same principle (All cards holo, no variants etc), would be nice but don’t get your hopes up.
Don’t they usually advertise the box as containing an “exclusive foil card” or “foil promo” though? The KO Collection/Blister packs this time just say “foil card” without the “exclusive” or “promo” nomenclature, I’d like another cosmos holo Eevee but it seems like there’s more evidence pointing to it being the standard set card than not.
It is a reprint of the set card. They just say ‘foil Pokémon TCG card featuring’, and so far the featured card for Knock Out Collections in Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution era are cosmos holofoil. I don’t see any reason they will be different with 30th Celebration
Not sure why the billion dollar company can’t just add a cosmos holo pattern to their digital renders to avoid any confusion, they’ve released a few blister packs that only contained standard holos as the “promo” card so I can’t even confidently tell what I’m buying anymore, oh well I’ll just grab the single a couple of months after release.
In response to you not seeing any reason it would be different to the SV/ME precedence set, I’d argue that every normal set card not having a reverse holo is also breaking that precedent, so I reverted to the last known relevant standard which was the 25th anni set and that kept to 1 variant per card, you’re probably right though, would just be nice to know what I’m buying.
I’m in the UK so it’s the blister for me, already missed the PC preorder as I assumed it was just the same card from the set so I didn’t bother trying, hopefully it’ll be possible to get one elsewhere but not expecting it to be available easily for MSRP because of scalpers obviously, even more so since there are even less products on release with the confirmed delays so that’s more eyes on the blister to secure packs, and for all the talk on this set being printed in to the ground apparently a bunch of thieves stealing a few pallets of product are enough to delay said products for 1/2 months, binder and tech sticker collection are the only confirmed delays so far but 5/6 weeks since the last 30th preorder wave on PC is concerning, just hoping the single will be cheap if it is cosmos holo.
There’s a lot here, but the thing that stands out is the printing into the ground piece. A lot of us HOPE it will be printed into the ground, but never underestimate scalpers and shady distributors. That said, the promo itself should not be that expensive. Should not. Destined rivals was a hot set and that Eevee is like $3 still. Even the most expensive Eevee promo in recent memory (prismatic etb with the PC stamp) was “relatively” affordable for a while after release. Be patient. I wouldn’t buy day one. Let people cool off. No offense to Eevee fans myself included, but Eevee is not the most exciting card in this set for most people. People will be buying these blisters hoping for the mew and the retro cards like lugia.
