If you want them but the seller won’t ship to you, I can middle man
Ah thanks so much for offering to do that! I’m actually set to go to Korea this December for a wedding and will give it a shot, but in the future I might need to hit you up on middlemanning!
Yes! can recommend his middleman-ness! 10/10! #notsponsored
Anyone here has thé advice on how to sort/store/organize their eeveelution collection? I’ve asked it in my own collection thread a while back, but I still do not know “how to collect”. Let me explain; so lets say you collect these 9 critters throughout multiple sets and maybe even multiple languages. This ofcourse includes variants like holo’s, rh’s, 1ED, UED etc. etc. How do you sort them in binders? If i would, lets say, only collect SWSH cards, it would be a bit easier; take my time and count how many slots i needs et voila, im done. But with owning (a few) cards from multiple sets i do not know where to start. I can not buy a binder per set, right? I would prefer to collect them per set and not per eeveelution, would that be “easier”? Trying to make a long story short; i have too little cards per set to “begin” a binder, i cant keep them in a drawer until i have 12931 cards which can finally be “bindered” up, right?..right?
haha i hope y’all get what i mean, ANY tips/advice/inspiration is welcome.
I would start by asking this:
Do you prefer to see one species sorted from vintage to modern so you can see how that species has evolved over the years?
Or do you prefer to see all the species together from the same set as they form a theme together?
Seeing the 4 Jungle cards together is cool. So is seeing Eevee one after another and how the card layouts changed over time.
I have sorted in every way possible, including a separate English and Japanese binder. I did a mass resort 5 times in the past 5 years and I finally figured out what I like the most
So in a ideal situation i would want them all together (in chronological and then Pokedex order?). But collecting per eeveelution is something i also could consider. My apologies if you have told me before; but how does your setup look like now? What sorting did not work for you at all and why did you sort it as the way it is right now?
Mine are ordered by set release date, then national dex number then variants (1st/unlimited for wotc, then holo/normal/reverse/promo from that) and the promos from the era pulling up the rear of said era. Have a squiz at my collection thread if you want clarification.
I also keep japanese away from english in a seperate binder
I do each species in its own section of the binder. Then if a resort is required because China released a new Sun and Moon unique reverse holo, then I am only moving a few dozen cards insteads of hundreds
I just do them together in what I hope is the correct release order . All the Jungle artwork Eevees, followed by the Vaporeons, then Jolteon, then Flareon. I try to keep to this except when it’s different artworks in the same set. But then again I’m pretty sure I’m inconsistent somewhere in there. The hardest part is figuring out how many empty spaces you need. And then getting a card that wasn’t in your plans and you have to reorganize it all
THIS! i mean… if it was just one set, lets say Sun and Moon e.g., figuring out how many slots are needed ain’t that hard… but with english and japanese cards from aaaall sets… I don’t even know where to begin :")
So per eeveelution? Do you think it’s “aesthetically” pleasing to see e.g. 4 pages of (the same art of) Vaporeon instead of the 9 species? (honest question; it may sound snarky but that aint how I mean it at all; I am just wondering if it looks ok! I think this way of sorting would be a bit less stressfull but wouldn’t it look boring after a while?) *edit: ofc i have looked at your own thread, that sorting does look … better then i thought!!
Honestly. I basically set up an excel sheet and kind of mapped out the binder in there. Helped a lot being able to look at that and just see what’s supposed to be empty and what not. Find a system to visualize it. I’ve seen people write what’s supposed to go in the slot on paper and slip it in there.
It may seem boring to see 8 of the same Jungle Flareon together, but I love the different variants, so it is nice to see the same artwork released in different ways
or do what i do haha, print out the cards the size of cards
You bought a fake card rather than saving up for the Fan Club?
A few $ for boredom vs $2800 yes it was inconsequential
Why was this not a thing
Idk but I’m glad not to drop $200 on it like munch
