ebay instant notification

Hello
what’s the best app one can use to have an instant notification whenever an ebay seller, regardless of the product, puts something online?

or when lets say a product you are looking for gets a listing?

I’ve been thinking the same thing as well…it would be so much more useful. I’m getting tired of refreshing too.

The only thing I can think of myself is to program yourself a data scrapper and scrap the data needed from ebay, but I don’t have that much free time at the moment for something like that.

Use advance search to search for the terms you want and then select “by seller”. You’ll have to enter the user or users IDs and then once the search is done select save search on the searched page. Save search automatically subscribes to send emails.

I thought this would only give a E-Mail per day, or does it notify you immediately after the seller lists something?

@chappo not sure how it works have never tried it but just know about the saved search function. Maybe there’s a way of getting updates if you are follow the seller.

Pretty sure its once a day. But to be honest, even if it was an instant email, by the time you see the email and click on it, the item will be sold if its something for a good price. There are hundreds/thousands of people refreshing constantly who will see it before you.

eBay app has push notifications maybe you can do it through that

I “save search” for certain items or sellers on ebay and have it set to email me when items under those keywords are newly listed.

The format of the email works well, when I click on the items it can bring them up in the app.
If I’m not mistaken you can change the notification settings to instant.

It’s kinda garbage. I have a bunch of saved searches set up for email and push notifications. Every morning, I get a big batch of emails for each saved searches that has a new listing. About 12 hours later I’ll get a single push notification for one of my saved searches.

Honestly for their purposes this is likely sufficient. All they care is that it gets seen at all during the 7 day period of the listing. Whether you get notification in 12 seconds or 12 hours makes no difference to them as there is still plenty of time for you to buy it while it is up. If it costs them more to make it instant then I doubt they’d have motivation to go that route even if their customers prefer it.

True. I don’t mind getting the emails in the morning, I just find it weird that only one push notification comes through and it’s at the end of the day.
