Looks like I can’t search by number of bids anymore, which is a very necessary tool on good old feebay. Anyone else getting the same thing?
Thanks for the note, haven’t noticed this change earlier this week. Can’t find it anymore on ebay.com or ebay.co.uk…
Just curious, why do you see it as a good tool?
When I am browsing eBay for “wholesale” collections; I will search “Pokemon” and sort by “Highest - Lowest”. After getting sick of seeing all those $1,000 Bill and Krabby Cards; I will then search “Pokemon” and sort by “Number of Bids - Most First”. I agree with OP; that is actually a pretty good Auction Search Tool as it eliminates a lot of the junk on eBay - if you have an item with a lot of bids/attention, it is most likely something worth checking-out.
Additionally, when I do my “Highest - Lowest” Search, I will usually stop looking around $250.00 - that is when you start getting into the bulk of PSA Cards and Single Cards (actually worth the pricing). So, “Number of Bids” will show Auctions in there early-stages that might have gotten a lot of attention, but just are not up in pricing just yet.
That is why I use that anyway…
Pretty much what @oldschoolpokemon said. It usually weeds out all the good items that you might not have thought to search and also you can get a feel of what is popular in other categories like comics, non-TCG, games etc. without knowing all the ins and outs and specific things to search in each collecting hobby.
I don’t recall that option.
