i know there are A LOT of cards to scroll through, but please give the list a full browse and feel free to spam likes if you genuinely like the art/card. I’m expecting a higher base line, but ultimately, we’re here to see which ones rise above the rest and which one is truly the worst (ok second worst after conkeldurr)

I’m expecting the top pick to be Giratina V (Moonbreon has no power here!), but would love to see Lugia V come out on top; that’s one of my favourite artworks ever with its major Shining Gyarados vibes.

Very interesting seeing the Moonbreon performing so poorly at the moment vs all the hype and stonks around the card.

So many good ones to choose from though. Felt pretty spoilt and forgot how good SWSH era was for alt arts.

that hype is largely in the grifter space (hype poketubers/twitter accounts, reddit, etc). It isn’t a slam dunk when you begin asking people who are more considerate with their collection choices.

i know we’re “harsh” on it often, but i want it to be known that i did at least give a +1 to moonbreon. i like a lot about it. i just don’t think it is better than a lot of the other vmaxes

It’s so difficult to keep one’s hands off these since the art is so good, i’m glad that so many even of the most beautiful ones are so cheap it doesn’t require much reasoning to buy some of them. My top 3 probably are giratina, aerodactyl and stamp box pikachu of which i only own aerodactyl tho, other two are such big purchases i can’t justify them to myself without any goal or framework to include them

I voted 5 this time round, instead of my usual 3:

• Moonbreon the Holy Grail - Needs no introduction!
• Rayquaza vmax AA - Looks like chinese painting of a green dragon soaring over a lush forest with mountains in the distant. A majestic AA!
• Espeon vmax AA - Very countryside feel. I love this artwork and wonder why it is not stonking as much as its JPN version.
• Vaporeon vmax AA - Usually don’t like water pokemon but the view of the sea is so calming.
• Glaceon Vstar AA - not glaceon fan but the winter landscape is really lovely!
