to be fair it was heavily printed and people were tired of it. similar to fates collide which is definitely a much worse set aside from the alakazam special art

also, yall should be ashamed for voting the mizue marill so low. I understand the cinccino AR since marill is covered mostly and down in the corner, but to put mizue next to stock art is crazy.

I honestly expected southern islands to win, but the AR is too good! And yes @dromanyte the ANA promo is one of my favs, it’s got such a goofy 2000s artwork haha.

I think that’s mostly just due to the limitations of the voting system.
I think it’s an above average card but certainly not my favourite Marill.
But due to this I still voted for it:
vote for any card that you like
So if enough people find a card just likable enough to vote for it, it will score highly in the poll even though half the people might have actually liked other cards way better.
I think that’s also how the pikachu topped the Wailord poll, I found the art good enough to vote for, but would have prefered to see another card win.

There’s many, many reasons why a 2 party system is fundamentally broken and undemocratic, but this is the only real argument you need to explain to the opposers of the idea. Nader would have done SO much better were our system different.
Relating to the thread… it would be odd to change it but i have felt this way as i enjoy these a lot inert. The idea being that instead of voting for any card you like, you vote for any card that you strongly like as opposed to others. Making it more competitive. For example, it would impact my vote on certain cards, ones I have voted for that I wouldn’t since option A is so much better to me than option B. (Ive already kinda done this as i feel even though i may “like” a card, i feel it’s mediocre overall. So I skip of it in favor of most liked)
Just to be clear I’m not advocating for the voting method to change at all but I think pointing out the limitations is useful.
