It’s the shiny Pikachu with the extravagant hairstyle from the anime. It does have some Johnny Bravo vibes, don’t you think? Done with ink and watercolours.
This is based on the “celestial” Pikachu, featured in a music video as well as a card. It’s monobrow gives it a determined look. Ink.
A looser style from one music video, unfortunately I forgot it’s name… Ink and coloured pencils.

We all know white belly Pikachu, but how about a yellow belly Pikachu how it appeared in the original Game Boy games? A bit rushed, but i think the concept works. Ink and watercolours.

Here’s a collage of a few illustrations that I made over the years, with Red being actually a new one. After all this time I am still a huge fan of this franchise.
Here’s the seperate file of Red. Maybe I should make a sprite as well. It was tricky to paint that many different coloured sections, but it was valuable practice.

Awww thank you!! These were all for a client I’d worked with in the past, and they said they’d love to be used as a guinea pig for style experimentation, lol. I’m super inspired by Kanako Eo and HYOGONOSUKE especially, so that means a ton!

Im taking a break from masks and did some oil painting. Still getting a feel for it. Munchlax and Magikatp aren’t done yet. Deoxys is finished

I love the Munchlax but that Deoxys is superb. Probably why Rayquaza decided to not mess around and go after it. Very sinister vibes. Really awesome job on the paintings. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words. Deoxys was intended to be mostly black light reactive but it just didnt look right without blacklight so I altered it. Here’s a Pic of OG blacklight , the how it looks now under blacklight

This is an amazing piece as always. It was funny to me at first, because I initially registered blastoises right cannon as a credit card, and jokingly said “Well they arent wrong” before it clicked lol.
