E4 Emerald Battle Factory Competition

That’s not my type of wisdom unfortunately idk how. There’s probably something out there already like that

Anyway, there is enough interest for me to want to kick off the competition.

Again the one main rule: no save states!
Everything else is vanilla to pokemon emerald.

We will be doing the level 50 battle factory challenge. Feel free to upload your results as they come in or you can wait till the end of the timer.

The competition will run from November 1st to December 31st of this year giving people plenty of time to play whenever they have a free moment.

There are some factory resources linked in the OP, good luck!

I can do that. If you need the save data send me a message

Not November yet but here’s the first set post

The losses in the factory are always so devastating, sorry for the stress this competition will cause

I’ll give it a go in November. My 1st and only run had me at around 30

I’d love this. I got a save at the frontier ready to go whenever!

We’re underway. And look who showed up during my grind!

I have a 20 hour bus ride this weekend so I’m going to start playing.
Here’s a post-game save file for anyone who wants to jump into the challenge

my worst loss was a 1/1200 chance so far. Such is the factory.

They hit crits exactly when they need to

also free tip, when life gives you blissey… take it

other tips for the early rounds:
Round 1: “free” mons - koffing, sealeo, wailmer, phanpy, voltorb (sorta) anything that can use rollout or ice ball - game plays itself
Round 2: best mons - Poliwrath (varied moveset can handle most things), anything that can toxic stall. Chansey’s moveset is terrible in round 2 so dont bother
round 3: best mons - strong normals, anything banded (minus kecleon, this is the strongest Furret has ever been lol), cloyster, jumpluff, chansey
seeing any of those is a free win basically

After that the good mons are obvious, but when teambuilding remember type immunities because you can be up 3/1 and if the factory throws out something you have no way to deal with its gg. Ideally you want a flying type and ground type on each team. But remember about normal/ghosts/darks as well as they can wall many mons. If you dont have specific answers ready for: Metagross, Snorlax, salamence, blissey, leechers, OHKOs, Double teamers you will be sure to lose

You wont see legendries until round 8

Also NEVER EVER underestimate quick claw fissure, because itll happen back to back

Also Also, never assume a set is made logically. I swear @lyleberr was working at gamefreak in 2003 creating some of these stat and move spreads
