Here are the submissions for my 8 year old daughter Leila (lee-la)

Both of the submissions were done on her 11" Android Tablet with her fingers using the Android app iBis Paint X

Category: Recreation

Title: “Leila’s Pikachu”

Based on the Pikachu (26/83) from Generations Originally illustrated by Atsuko Nishida.

I asked her what her favourite Pokémon were and she said Eevee & Pikachu, I brought up a list of cards on my laptop and as soon as she saw this one she picked it, She said she liked the art style and that it’s similar to hers.

She was happy with how it turned out and was very excited to share it with everyone!

Category: Child Drawing

Title: “Eevee Espresso”

This one took her the longest, she just finished this yesterday! I am immensely proud of her and will be rewarding her for her efforts!

Thank you for hosting this event, She had a lot of fun with these and it created some nice family memories.

If you would like to see some more pictures & more of her art you can take a look at my full post about the contest on my Pokémon blog here - E4 Art & Illustration Contest 2025 · PokiPlanet Blog

Good luck to all of the contestants & I hope to see you all again next year!

We are already off to a hot start!

@cyberurchin Impeccable as always!

@mrbubbles love the story and you really captured the child feel, despite the slightly horrifying subject matter. :joy:

@pikachutcg Your daughter has a ton of talent and both of these are amazing! She has definitely earned that reward!

@ayoveer Both fantastic entries! The Poliwag art looks like it would be right at home on a real card and the sticky note Slowpoke idea was brilliant!

@pikachutcg . Those are awesome Leila! Nice work. Love the expression on Eevee’s face

@ayoveer those are so fun. I can just see someone sitting at their desk making post it note Pokemon. Such a trend setter!. The Poliwhirl is so playful and fun. Great use of color to set the mood

Thank you @tcgmaine and @niece for kind words!

And the post it note Slowpoke was kind of a challenge for my fat fingers but it was definetly fun challenge.

Woooowww I’m gonna go ahead and say that Eevee Espresso is absolutely incredible! That’s honestly my favorite piece I’ve seen submitted so far.

@cyberurchin Latios speeding dynamically across the sky really captures it’s identy as a fast Pokémon!

@mrbubbles The Netherlands seem to be kinda dangerous. Can they be saved?

@pikachutcg Your daughter is just 8 years old and already that skilled? She draws much better than me when I was at her age. She should keep up the good work and she’ll be an illustrator in no time.
Speaking of child drawings, maybe I should upload some of my Pokémon art from my childhood.

@ayoveer Poliwag quietly enjoys the start of summer.

I am finished with with recreation, but not original yet. It’s probably better though to upload both entrys at once.

Amazing work by Leila. Please extend my kudos to her. She is really very talented and I really love both her submissions. Even with the recreation, the bow on the Pikachu is such a simple and amazing addition. Best of luck to her in the contest!

Cheers!

I am so excited to see what everyone has created! I am obsessively checking for updates like it the last 30 minutes of a Fanatic’s Auction for a grail card… And yes my submissions. Are getting there.

Here’s my entry for original creation!

While not the most popular, Gen 4 has some really cool lore built into its story. In particular, the creation myth around its legendaries has always intrigued me so I wanted to do an aged “scroll” illustration featuring every legendary / mythical Pokemon in the general. As a bonus I also put in some of the new Origin Formes from Legends Arceus.

In the margins is the original “Beginning Story” Sinnoh Myth:

In the beginning, there
was only a swell of matter.
Everything mixed together
and an egg appeared in the center.
From the spilled egg,
the first thing was born.

The first thing
created two parts. Time
began to
pass. Space began to expand.
Then, from its own body, it
gave birth to three lives.

When the two parts prayed,
things were born.
When the three lives prayed,
the mind was born. The world
was created, and
the first thing went to sleep.

Some other details…
The “egg” that Arceus is hatching from is made of multi-colored egg shell pieces. There’s some lore that these formed the plates Arceus can use to change types

Lil Giratina in the background

Ropes Regigigas used to pull together the landmasses

The Lake trio is (you guessed it) all at the same lake at different elevations

That is just spectacular ! Love this. The texture and colors are perfect for this ancient scroll. It feels real! The with the lore in the margin a great added addition. Thanks so much for sharing
