Very impressive. I thought I had a piece done but I wasnt as happy as I could be with it so Im refocusing some of the details and trying it again, hopefully it works better this time.

17 days until submission period ends. Sneaking up on us quick, I better get a move on.

I just want to make an announcement. 10 days left until we shift into the submission period. Can’t wait to see everyone’s art, it is the most satisfying thing I look forward to on the forum.
Azul and I would like to get feedback on whether we think that submission period (or simply sign up period for next year, it’s the same end result either way) should be extended by one week. Let us know. At the end of the day it is a fairly short contest even for the people who know it well and anticipate it, and this has always been something we considered but not yet implemented. I think the first year it was even a week shorter. The contest will always be launched around May, just so it is know.

I wouldn’t mind more time, but I also realize I could just prepare better, knowing it’s an annual event that takes place at around the same time. On the other hand, there are probably always going to be some people that need one more week, no matter how much time is allotted. In the end, I think the amount of time we have now is enough. It’s like a five-week heads-up right now, right?
