There were 61 sign ups, but just 42 actual submissions. Both years previous we always have less submissions than sign ups. Life happens, things come up. So we can expect roughly 3/4 of sign ups to show up with work, though we’d obviously be stoked seeing closer to 100% submission rate.
Right now my count is 52 sign ups. But if hypothetically we have 100% sub rate then we would have had a great turnout anyway! (But why not get just a few more sign ups to really amp up the celebration, eh?)
edit: now that I think about it, we are likely to have better “completion rate” since we’ve extended the sign up period AND made the announcement with date in hand a month in advance. This really helped, we think.
Wait, is this you speaking for all the hosts or are you using the royal We? Pretty sure you need special permission from @pfm for that level of vernacular here. But dont mind me, I just like keeping this subject relevant.
It’s all good, we don’t need to be strict about this. I don’t have any major role in this activity. I actively encourage anyone to host any community projects like this. Ultimately I don’t have the bandwidth to do everything myself.
This event is legitimate or sanctioned in any meaningful interpretation of those words. If you have a concern about this just message me, we don’t have to sidetrack this by making it a public conversation
Umm… did I miss something? I mean we as a forum (have have a great turnout)…
What was the interpretation here that I’m not seeing? Special permission for what?
Strict about what? This looks like a post was deleted or something. Confused.
@pfm, you can use 2D sprites, any assets from any game. It’s just called 3D virtual for the sake of having a cool stylistic name.
(edit: ahh. I see now. Well in that case yes Azul and I are the supreme authority, the gods of water, this is our ocean, we rule the tide, and so on and so forth etcetera etcetera)
