Dust on my cards

So I have a pretty large collection of cards that has been sitting in my attic for a long time and the cards are mint pack fresh. Will probably grade 8/9/10. However they have collected dust on them over the years. I want to send them out to bgs and wanted to know do I have to clean them before? What is the best way to clean without damaging? Can I send cards where the card saver is dusty but not the card?

Thought id better get in before Jake suggests something. A quick google most say try a microfiber cloth, a damp cloth and some even say use naphtha-based solvent aka lighter fluid for tough stains.

I personally have never done any other than just the microfiber cloth and worked great.

Yeah a microfiber cloth should do the job as long as you’re careful and don’t apply too much pressure.

p.s. “Dust on my cards” sounds like a melancholic millenial country song about long lost childhood memories with Pokemon.

I personally use a high powered Toro leaf blower. You can easily rake them in after your done and put them all in a garbage bag to sort.

Now I keep thinking of Taylor Swift singing “dust on my cards” instead of “teardrops on my guitar” lmao
