I stumbled upon the L-P version some time ago and also discovered the DPt version, but was not aware of the rarity. I was wondering why no DPt version would show up on my searches on Mercari and other jpn sites, now I know !

Awesome cards. The darkrai looks pretty good with that black graded guard you have on it. Do we know around how many copies exist in total?

no idea because it’s unclear if any actually went out to people or whether there could be a large pile sitting in akabane’s closet that were produced to be given out but little to nobody could redeem it.

That being said, the only two sets I know of - or at least two sets generally available to market - are the “cursed items” from a criminal fraudster and the copies from the person who revealed his crimes. A bit poetic… even with the card art being a parallel to the story

There are 3 cards that I surely wont be able to achieve, wonder platinum and these two daisuki prize

I wonder If the “cursed item” is the recent PSA 10..

Can’t find an image/cert for it atm though, there was an X post but it was using @pfm’s PSA 9 as the image but removed the cert info

I’ve begun planning to collect every Japanese Darkrai along with my ongoing English master set and this card’s existence stresses me out to no end. My nonfindable grail. Thanks for a thread I can always come back to for a refresher on the information surrounding it!
