I prefer raw cards. The cost for me to buy already graded or send in to get graded I think is not worth it.
I do have some graded shadowless holos and trophy/prize/misc cards though and probably will attain further high value cards graded. Otherwise I can’t justify the grading cost + shipping from Australia. I could buy plenty of other unique cards I don’t already have for that price.
I’m definitely in the minority here but I prefer raw cards for my collection. I get more enjoyment out of the cards in their raw form. I can feel the cards and see them more clearly.
When I sell cards I grade them first. That makes selling the card much simpler and gives the buyer more confidence. But for my own PC it’s all raw.
I don’t know why but i can only do graded. The cards i have raw are cards i plan on grading. Plus if you wait long enough you can get psa 9 for the price of a raw copy. Or if you’re lucky you can sometimes get a psa 10 for just above the price of a psa 9. (obviously not high end cards)
Naked, always and forever. To me, cards trapped inside plastic prisons look like garbage. ![]()
Pokemon … graded only, everything I have pokemon wise is or will be graded. MTG both, only certain cards that have moved into true collectible status are worth grading, most of the value in MTG is because they’re playable so people don’t want them graded.
Both graded and raw for me. I like to get some of the cards graded that I like the most and put them on display, but I still have a lot of cards on binders too. I enjoy both sides ![]()
Graded, as I’m on an ongoing Mission:Impossible.
What a shame Ultra Pro discontinued those hard plastic PSA slab pages for binders. I’d be into trying them out for my cards.
Edit: I was referring to these:

Seeing as Ultra Pro don’t make them…wonder if people would be interested if I made them?
Would buy outta 10. Hit me up if you do.
