Did Logan's Charizard once fail to cross to BGS Pristine?

My nan works for pokemon. I wasn’t meant to say anything, but the big news is that Gary and Logan will be doing a Tag Team exhibition wrestling match with real life Charizard and Reshiram.

Stop spreading these lies; we all know that grading companies would never give preferred treatment to someone who has a massive following and promises to offer them A TON of free advertisement and publicity! Haha AKA… I would not be surprised in the slightest if that were the case either; but, we’ll never know

Suggesting this does not help anyway… grading is subjective. As long as the card is extremely clean, it can be called a BGS 10. No one is going to look at this card and say it is not worthy of that grade. My point is that it does not look like a 9 in a 10 case. It’s a 10 in a 10 case.

The only real annoyance here is that the difference in BGS’s opinion between a 9.5 and a 10 or a 9 and 9.5 is so small that it can be silly to compare or say one is necessarily better than another. The debate here should be in how the card is valued, not in how it waas graded or by who. Anyone can do this if they have the means.

The difference between a 1 million dollar card and a 100k card is 0.5 in a subgrade. That’s the crazy part lol

Exactly, at the end of the day it doesnt matter if Logan crossed the same card or not. We all already know these grading companies can be half a grade off based on how theyre feeling that day. If you’ve ever sent a card back in for grading you already know it can come back a grade higher or lower. That’s why so many of you already agree with the motto buy the card, not the grade. The only losers here are those who are paying 2x-10x for a difference of 0.5 of 1 in a subjective perceived grade.

Just a thought. Doesn’t LP have five other 1st edition boxes? All he’d have to do is open a couple boxes and pull a fresh Charizard to have graded. That’d be a better financial decision to make, rather than crack the Charizard he got from Gary.

That would be a terrible financial to make considering he can sell the packs for 40k ea

It’s something like 10% chance to get a PSA 10 from a pack fresh card. Cards don’t come PSA 10 from the factory. Sometimes they can be damaged especially the edges, alot of times the centering is not right. The lowest centering to get a 10 is 9.5. It’s why a 10 card is so hard to get, especially with older cards.

Even if he pulled 10 Charizards, that’s not a 100% chance to get a 10. This is part of why sealed packs are not great for getting cards. It’s 100x better to just buy the card you want. The majority of people who are willing to pay big bucks for sealed are 1) People who are looking to sell sealed 2) Gambling Addicts.
