Rn i’m like this…
Very interesting, but i have a question… How do you search and buy those variants if there isn’t a comparison shot available? Saturation can vary from camera to camera (not considering the fact that can be regulated after the shot to fake it)

Thank you. I saw that post too and even I can tell the difference with that kind of comparison. My question was how those who look for these specific variations figure out if they’re actually like that or if it’s just the photo that makes them look more saturated… (For online purchases)
or
To put it in an other way… How does someone know if their cards are deep saturated or normal without having any others to compare?

Could probably figure it out if i knew what they were and could study em but even i run into that same issue of not knowing what im looking for in poor photos. Im not going to buy them until i figure out how to identify and distinguish..

A lot of it is just trusting your instincts, or looking at the non-card parts of the image to see if they look saturated or edited etc.
I had a similar circumstance recently where I was buying a FRLG Charizard with stronger than average red saturation. I looked at the PSA label of the scan compared to the PSA labels of other copies’ scans, and was able to be fairly confident from images the actual card had a nicer saturation

Would you like to share the FRLG Charizard? Would be cool to see
That´s a good looking card.
I posted it a week or so ago in the Most Recent Purchases thread
