Well, I don’t have a specific number in mind so much as an exhaustive collection. So it’s not my goal to fill up the wall so long as there aren’t enough unique arts to fill it. I don’t think a second entire wall will work, but I could grab another shelf or two. They fit 14 cards to a shelf. Surely, SURELY (right, pappa pikachu? please?) there will not be enough eevees in the near future to worry. We’re also potentially leaving this home as early as 2026 (possibly later) so they may only be up for a couple more years.

2024 was kind of an insane year for me personally, professionally, and in collecting. It was my first full year on E4 (I joined partway in 2023). Collecting wise, if 2023 was the year of eevee, 2024 was the rare sequel that’s better than the first film. As some of you know, over the past 18 months, I dramatically downsized my collection, selling, gifting, and or donating about 7000-8000 cards.
During this time I also refined my collection and expanded on what was left. I completed and graded my entire slab art collection through Surging Sparks, and also completed the alternate holo binder collection. What started as just collecting English or just collecting arts evolved into a much more comprehensive “any language” art and holo collection. Along the way, I’ve relied more and more on help from more established E4 collectors (thinking of @joponnes, @holahart @eeveeteam among many others) and have really appreciated the community and mutual support and enjoyment of collecting. I picked up a lot of new cards this year and ventured into some fun subspecies I’ve never seen before (including learning the Chinese cards have some of the best reverse holos) and some fun non TCG items as well.
So what’s next? Well, I’ve moved on from “catching up” to buying cards in real time. Prismatic comes out in a few short weeks and I’m excited to rip my first English packs in over a decade. Beyond slabbing new arts, there are a number of new, unique and very cool holo patterns coming out in the next year. So I’m excited to continue to fill my binder. I’ve also gone ahead and consolidated my other collection thread. This is all just one big collection too much to keep up with multiple similar threads.

Thanks! After prismatic I’m hoping for a bit of a lull. While this year was very exciting, there were also two points that I hit where I said wow right this minute I’m not really having fun with this. Just information (and card) overload. I’m looking forward to wrapping January and seeing how things go

First pickup of 2025 is a holdover from 2024 when I found @holahart in the wild - thanks again! We both thought it was lost in the mail but it was just moving at a leisurely pace.
Eevee holo pattern binder is complete through prismatic/terastal!
