So back when i was a kid, my mom was a manager at 7-11. She would bring me home the promo cards out of the magazines each month that didn’t sell. Acquired about half a dozen w stamp Wartortle and Misty’s Psyduck as well as some other non-pokemon stuff i don’t have anymore. Fast forward 25 years and while sorting through my cards, I’ve come across what i believe to be these 3 Dark Charmeleon “promos”. While at a glance they look exactly like the pack cards, there is a big difference on the back…
Standard team rocket cards have a +15 degree magenta pattern as shown above while these promos have a -15 degree magenta angle. I would like to challenge everyone to find any team rocket cards with a -15 magenta back that do NOT come in theme decks.
I am looking for pack exclusive cards only. There is rumor of an Australian printing of team rocket and in trying to find any trace of it while confirming that this common back on Dark Charmeleon may be an identifier to a lost promo.
