Contact the seller. Don’t jump right to opening a case or anything just start with a message.
If it was sold through the GSP then you will be dealing with them (the forwarder) and with proper photos they should have no issue refunding you if it was damage incurred via shipment. Same thing goes even if it was shipped direct from the seller. If you can prove it was damage during shipment even if uninsured that is up to the seller to get you the items in the condition as stated.
Pics of damage?
YES, YES, YES!!!
Personally, I consider myself an easy-going person. Anyone who has dealt with me in the past could probably attest to this fact. I am a collector before business - so if there are any issues with a purchase; I am more than willing to work-out a fair resolution. I’ll often take a complete loss on the purchase - and even over-compensate the buyer where possible.
However, I do expect the buyer to message personally before attempting to open an eBay Case. 99.999% of the time, a buyer will message me and I’ll resolve the issue immediately. However, if a buyer goes straight to an eBay Case I’m super-professional and will-not issue anything more than I’m expected to as an eBay Seller - and trust me, I’ve been selling on eBay long enough to know the system VERY WELL!
That’s just one of my personal pet-peaves - and I’m sure many eBay Sellers feel the same-way. So, for anyone with a purchase they are dissatisfied with; PLEASE send the seller a personal message before running to eBay - you might just get lucky!
