My portfolio begs to differ
May the xrp flipping btc (again) commence
Anyone here going to talk about the correlation of Epstein Files & Bitcoin? Where 3/5 of the main Bitcoin developers were being paid on salary by Epstein?
Or just going to sideline it?
I honest to goodness do not know where the line between “political topics” and “pop culture” is in this thread, my bad.
Big +1 on your post, though.
I’m here for it.
AND they pushed the powers that be to bring the lawsuit vs ripple/xrp as they saw it as a threat.
Cant make it up!
The faster BTC rolls over the better. Literally has zero use.
…and XRP does?
You a fan of “The Office”?
If so, crypto is to fiat what the Michael Scott Paper Company was to Dunder Mifflin. You heard it here first ![]()
Depends, there is only 1 real “the office” and it is the og UK version.
USA version is fine, but it didnt make me wince with awkwardness. So it’s never the real “office.
Regarding your analogy: Some Crypto has a function and use case, some doesnt. Fiat will always be around, but crypto will also grow.
Doesnt have to be one or the other.
BTC is a ponzi though and Microstrategy is the next black swan (or maybe it is Epstein, or both!).
That’s new, if fiat will always be around then what’s the point of crypto?
Answer:
It will all be converted back to USD so that it can be actually used, haha!
I see it more as a pyramid scheme, sorry- Multi Level Marketing Investment Opportunity (please don’t audit me edition). Think Scentsy if you have that where you are.
In saying that, I do think that Charles Ponzi would be proud of where crypto is today, so would Mr. Madoff. So, a +1 from me.
fact is fiat can be printed into oblivion and ppl will still want it in the end because you can actually use it in everyday life ![]()
“yeah, you can buy this 500k lamborghini and pay using only bitcoins… but you will have to pay a 5% administrative fee because i dont want that garbage and im gonna convert it back into usd immediately” ![]()
Haha, it’s not like we have history textbooks, shows, seminars, professors, experts, journals, verbal stories from your great-grandparents that lived through the Depression…
I also truly do not understand why people cannot just take 1 look at a mixer service and say “hmm, maybe this is all a ruse”.
Why on Earth would you need to obfuscate your financial history?? I wonder… ![]()
I think Bitcoin has become bigger than just where it came from, but I do believe it is important to mention and understand the original creator and bigger players in the game that we are unaware of…
@teraz hey mate fwiw I enjoy reading your posts on bitcoin! I don’t own any or have any other skin in the game but you make plenty of valid points. My take on what you have written is that it comes across as more technical and philosophical which is interesting and fundamentally helpful to people with less knowledge on the subject. You’re certainly not in the same boat as the bros who are just trying to hype and dump. I appreciate anyone who can stay level and polite during controversial discussions ![]()
Others who have posted here also have good reason to be skeptical. Bitcoin definitely has a strong speculative component and people can get burned if they aren’t careful. However that is precisely why we shouldn’t be discouraging people who want to offer well constructed arguments in bitcoin’s favour (or against) regarding utility etc. People should be able to understand both sides of the argument and then make an informed decision for themselves about whether they should invest or steer clear
