Has anyone bought packs on courtyard? I’ve bought 4 packs which have went into collections but it won’t or doesn’t give me the option to open them, first time I’ve tried it as i always just purchase actual packs and my Experiance of Courtyard already is frustrating one just wondering if anyone had similar problems

I have not tried Courtyard, but I have heard that it’s popular alongside GameStop’s Power Packs. If you are new to collecting, I would recommend buying cards that you want rather than gambling and ending up with something that you do not enjoy. There is an opinion thread on Courtyard (actually two threads) from when it first came out, but not many collectors around here have spoken about it much since.

I’ve bought packs and graded cards there, I might be wrong but I think they sell the packs as sealed, once you get them delivered you can open them yourself, they don’t offer an option to open it for you.

I’ll check them out been collecting Pokemon cards many years , just thought I would give courtyard a go somethin different but i do prefer actually buying the cards and opening the packs my self , thanks for responding

Ok that makes sense abit now I opened a pack on there and got a card but sold it back straight away, but these packs like the 151 I’ve bought you must not be able to open on there , thanks for the reply

Was it a graded card mystery pack or an actual pack you opened on there?

I’ve just realised I was buying sealed packs I sold them back and I’ve bought 25 dolla pack and just got a good one straight away

Is there anything to prevent them from giving you a good hit on the first one to lure you in? These loot box style gambling products are designed to trigger dopamine responses and get you addicted to chasing hits. They’re incredibly dangerous at the best of times in regulated environments and even worse when the programming is hidden and the value of the items can be temporarily inflated.

I’d recommend taking your win and sticking to physical packs which at least take time/effort to procure.

Just be careful with Courtyard. ive had about 2 situations where i opened two packs (temporal forces) and got two solid cards. When it was shipped to me, it was wrapped in some measly paper. I dont know if it was just lazy shipping or just the actual delivery system, but they where sloppy with my shipping in my case (For anyone wondering however the cards where just two normal EXs)
