What are your expections for the availability of the Japanese classic collection cards? Could the decks be released as part of another product or was this just something that was mentioned for the English version?
I am obsessed with the Japanese gold border reprints. The 25th Anniversary S8a-P ones never had great availability here in the UK. The price of Birthday Pikachu and Gold Star Umbreon have went up 3-5 times since I bought them and it doesn’t look like they will ever be available in abundance like the English versions were
I think it makes sense for Pokemon to produce a lot of these since it is supposed to be a new style of play. There was already another lottery in late October and people will receive it in August of next year. It’s possible that they will continue to make these for the next few years, but the timetable is pretty crazy. Having to wait 10 months from the lottery date makes it seem like it isn’t something that can be produced easily. I think it is very possible that they produce just the decks as it would likely cut down the production time quite a bit so they could get more in the hands of players rather than collectors, but there is no way of actually knowing what Pokemon will do.
