Love the Collection and all the insights !
Thank you, that means a lot!
Coming from you, that especially means a lot- thank you for your motivation throughout this whole journey!
It’s very ironic that you have Piplup and Turtwig over a chimpanzees background, when the Fire gen 4 starter is a chimpanzee: Chimchar.
And indeed big congrats on the 75% milestone, Citrina!

Thank you all!
I have a VERY exciting update today that I’ve been looking forward to for a bit!
First, some smaller French pickups- still chipping away at these:
And for the main event, not one, but TWO DP Base Portuguese Empoleons!
I was so excited to find these in a Portuguese lot of cards, especially the LV.X. Portuguese as a language is one of the tougher ones if you don’t live in Brazil, and even then, these are just about near mint. I absolutely could not be happier right now, and to top it off, the LV.X has a beautiful swirl placement too:
Today’s going to be binder reorganization day since I’ve been putting it off for a while, and I cannot wait to see the new additions in their proper spots.
Hope everyone has a great day today, and happy collecting!
Great pickups and out of a lot too
I’ve recently noticed that any card that’s south america related can very easily be real pain so these are sure big ones, especially when it indeed looks like that empoleon is making a whirlpool with its wing congrats also for hitting that 75% mark, only one missing card for every 3 cards already obtained!
Yes, this is absolutely true! I had figured that the LV.X was going to be one of the last of the Portuguese cards I’d be able to find, but I was pleasantly surprised.
And thank you as well, I’m excited to hunt down the remaining 25-ish percent, though I anticipate it will take me even longer than the first 3/4 have. All part of the fun though
I’ve received several smaller packages over the last two weeks, so let’s get into the consolidation post!
First, the start of a brand new collection: Daiichipan seals! For those unaware, Daiichipan has a line of single-serve breads that come with themed stickers. PokePeace (or Pokemon Peaceful Place) is my favorite merch line of all time, so when I saw the PokePeace Daiichipan releases, well.. I guess I’m collecting these now. This series specifically is also glittery, which is neat!
And before anyone asks, yes I have a spreadsheet for them already
A few weeks ago, a seller sent the nonholo prinplup instead of the reverse, but they were very nice about it and promptly shipped the correct card my way.
And another few German cards for the binder as well. I now have all of the reverse Roseanne’s Research prints, and I’m only missing a few more for the other printings.
A few assorted French pickups I’ve been eyeing for a while. This seller recently put up a few more I needed than made shipping feel worth it, so here we are!
And finally, a square corner McDonalds promo, featuring an alignment dot (my beloved)
With all of these new additions, the collection is now at 77.51% (as I’ve found a few more releases I wasn’t aware of… that’s how it goes though, haha)
I also reorganized the binder, this time leaving blank spaces for the cards I still need, but a full photo tour will be taken another time. It was getting to be a lot shifting everything with new pickups, even though I don’t love the spaces, but it’s growing on me.
Thank you for reading, and happy collecting, all!
Today marks a super special occasion- this is a card I’ve been looking for for years, and a copy finally popped up recently! This is the 2012 Korean League Zone Empoleon promo!
Previously thought to be unfindable, I’ve only seen one other copy pop up for sale across all of the marketplaces I monitor regularly (and sadly I wasn’t quick enough on the draw).
With this print, some of the two most difficult to find Korean cards are once again reunited and will have a forever home in my binder
Happy collecting, everyone!
nice pickup
Congratulations. Amazing pickup and the stamp looks amazing. Very happy for you. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
Thank you and @mrbubbles both! I was extremely happy to see it pop up in my saved searches for a very good price!
Congratulations on picking up a rare find!
