Is this fake stamp? A psa 8 sold for 5.6k recently yet people ain’t buying this

The positioning looks pretty good. But the blur of the camera makes it hard to identify if the text is proper. Perhaps asking for a close up?

I hope you don’t mind if I ask the same question with regard to a different listing on this thread, 1by1collector.

Is this a fake stamp as well? I already bought it, but didn’t learn to identify fake stamps until tonight- so I’m not authority on the topic

Do you mean a 9? Because 8s aren’t anywhere near that. That doesn’t seem like a low price for a 9 either. Seems kinda like fair market price. Idk maybe I’m missing something?

@zubat that stamp is fake as hell bud.

Yes that is a fake, do NOT pay

as for the OP, the picture isn’t clear enough, but I can’t see anything that suggests it has a fake stamp

I paid on Sunday

I contacted the seller. I said I’d pay return shipping if he accepts a return. If not I’ll ask ebay to step in. This sort of thing is protected typically, right?

Dude don’t pay him jack squat. He’s trying to sell a bunch of fake stamped cards. Open a case on him and leave a negative feedback after it’s all said and done.

Unlikely to be a fake stamp, but the pic is blurry. He’s sold a ton of high graded 1st Base cards so I doubt he has that many fake stamps passing through PSA.

Why isn’t it selling? Many possible reasons. Visibility, poor advertising (terrible picture quality, no picture of the back), etc.
It’s also not priced that low. Many PSA 9s have gone for under or around $5k recently.

Not sure why that 8 went for $5.5k but i’d say the market value is still $3-$4k for the 8. He may have thought it deserved better and may try to regrade for a 9 and therefore the buyer paid a risky premium.

How can you actually tell if a stamp is fake? I know fake stamps can be scratched off, but how do you know? I have a PSA 7 First Edition Charizard that I bought years 5 ago and I worried about that.

Tge alignment is way off on the ninetales.

Ahhhh I see that now, but lets say he got the alignment correct when faking. Would you be able to tell? It scares me because I have a graded zard and obviously you can’t tell unless you crack the case. That stamp looks hella convincing aside from it’s placement!

If the alignment is correct there are other ways you can tell if the stamp is legit or not. I dont wanna say i would be able to tell straight away but its not too difficult.

A guy selling me cards once asked if one was fake and I told him it was, but it was super obvious because it was a shadowed card with a stamp. I told him to try scraping it off and it came right off. Sucks that it can be hard to tell otherwise. Makes me want to get a new case for my zard.

You got a picture of it? We could probably ease your mind. I could tell these stamps were fake on my phone and thats saying something lol.

Nah, this was more than a year ago and he asked me, so I never even saw it.

I meant your charizard. You said you were worried about it.

Oooooooooh, yea when I get home later this week I can shoot a pic and post it here. I have it framed behind a special no glare glass with red velvet backing. It’s my pride and joy…
