I wonder if this adds any more $$$$ value to 9.5 grades? I would think at least a little

This covers most of my thoughts on it. Theyâre effectively throwing away most of their market differentiators.
Also echoing this. Almost of all of my BGS subs have been with sub-grades because the scaled pricing per tier made sense, while the flat rate at CGC did not for lower priced subs.
The point of professional grading to me is having some kind of consistent standard over time that people can quickly understand, so this effectively being the 3rd version of CGC in just 3 years really does not inspire confidence.
Anyways if anyone needs me Iâll be in the backyard digging a grave for all of my pristine/perfect 10s bye

I know right? I thought CGC opened a âWaifuâ tier or something

How do you even know liking the blue label is a minority? Because a couple of guys whinned about it on E4? If anything most people silently enjoyed the blue label while you and others were just the vocal minority. But without data canât know for sure I guess.

The new label doesnât look ugly, but without the blue it doesnât feel like CGC anymore and will not match older CGC slabs

I canât believe theyâre killing Perfect 10s, the only reason I cared about them in the first place.

To be fair CGC definitely conducted some research to change this. They would not mess with their company logo just because a few people complained. Imo this is absolutely what they needed to do to stay relevant.
However I do not see why they needed to remove 9.5s the label makes sense but 9.5s removed does not to me

I donât, which is why I said:
I think youâre in the tiny minority
My impression has been that people generally didnât like the blue label. I donât have hard data to back this up, of course.

You can finally get your meowoth 10 though without draining the bank
I think you are giving them too much credit!

But now it means nothing! The whole point was that they offered a perfect certification! Now it has no value at all!

But that poll is based on people having had 3 years to get used to the blue label, vs people having had 1 hour to get used to the new label. The fact that off the bat 40% of people prefer the new label is pretty telling, imo.

Some of the bigger dollar cgc collectors wre focus grouped for sure. I received a survey a few months back but canât remember if that was from csg or cgc trading lol

Perfect 10s never mattered and Iâm not afraid to say it. I will not be silenced.
The sooner we abolish âa 10 but coolerâ the better.

I wish they only had Perfect 10 as the god tier / âchaseâ grade. Also the Pristine design with the huge number looks bad

Itâs funny to read the comments on the CGC insta posts. Before today everyone was asking for new label and now everyone is asking for the blue label
it probably is a true 50/50 split at the moment
