I received a freebie card with a purchase a few days ago and noticed it looks just like the Grand Canyon. Since I live in the Grand Canyon state, I thought this was super cool and started wondering if there are more cards with real photographs of the background. 
I’d be interested in seeing anyone’s discoveries.
I feel like a lot of Diamond and Pearl era cards have this.
I think these are all real photos? This era kinda had some really shitty CGI so I can’t really tell what’s what sometimes but there you go. Sandshrew definitely is.
There are a lot of ken sugimori stock images of pokemon with realistic backgrounds like that
Sugimori art = draw pokemon, copy and paste on background.
Basically any Yuka Morii card or other clay/yarn artist work
