A new Instagram page for a documentary called “Cardbound” has appeared online, with GMP, DPM, The Pauls etc
The first post description is " Card Bound is a Documentary 2 years in the making. The Journey to the FIRST ever Official Pokemon TCG Cards! Coming Soon…"
You could make an entire separate documentary about seeking out every WOTC variant for the WOTC 30th which is a bit further out. Several of us have spent dozens of hours documenting pack, deck, and card print forensics. For Base set alone there are 40-50 uniquely identifiable cards across all the languages it was printed in, 35 packs, and maybe 18 starter decks.
There is some split between information sharing and generating interest with a goal to gain financially, and perception of that split will likely impact how people respond to this.
Is it solely focused on tcg, or will you guys give attention to earlier 96 stuff like bandai club, carddass, P. Kids part 1, Chip shooters, etc…? The trailer looks nice btw
It walks through every known publicly released reference to Pokemon pre-game release (all the Famitsu references, login, spaceworld etc) and then through all publicly released items, club, chip shooters, batomen etc). But I learn some new small reference somewhere everyday lol
