Hi all i was wondering if its a good investment to buy one of these boxes and keep it in my collection

Prices for the base set box have gone up since I purchased mine. That said, mine was purely for my collection and not really as an investment.
Whilst its probably a ‘safe’ investment, I don’t see it being able to pull a big profit unless you hold it for many, many years.

just wanna add to the collection trying to get base jungle fossil boxes. Got the fossil already
all great choices, you should prioritize 1st edition boxes if your budget allows, they are a much stronger investment imo

This is very true but 1st edition base are so hard to find and in AuD are like 15k + haha

Yeh thats my next thought. Bought the base set in the end so just got unlimited jungle then will look to go further:) man it gets pricey but addictive and brings back so many memories
I originally bought my Base box to hold onto (wasn’t in the best condition). I was fortunate enough to get ahold of a minty mint Base box about 6 months after that. Decided to pull the trigger and open the first box. 1 Charizard / 1 Blastoise / 3 Venusaur + other holos… was like it was 1999 again! Best experience, and I’m glad I had that chance again
If you ever get the chance, do it. If not, just having them on a shelf is just as good ^.^

Oh for sure man if i find a good enough box at right price ill definitely open it would be awesome seeing all the old holos and hopefully have some 9/10s in the mix. I bought a load of fossil packs and was unsure if they were weighed so just decided to open them… ended up getting dragonite, articuno moltres and muk so will grade them for sure 
Also 3 venasaurs holy hell that would be mad
Actually, if you’re going to open it, find a beat up box cause it’ll be cheaper but contents are always fine;)
