Bgs 8 square cut charizard

Hey guys what would you value a bgs 8 square cut base english charizard? imgur.com/gallery/7sF8IkG

I am pretty sure all square cut base set cards are hand-cut instead of a factory-cut. I personally wouldn’t touch it but I understand a Charizard collector would.

30 dollars USD

There are plenty of copies that were genuinely factory square cut, but the pool is flooded with largely hand-cut such that you can assume most are not genuinely factory. So odds are against it being so… However, with this in mind a completionist might pay between $350 and $500+. Maybe more from a reputable source.

I haven’t paid yet…I think my offer was a little high…lol

It really depends on what you want. I have a square cut set that I had Gary check for me. It’s after market in his opinion but not worthless. Even aftermarket cuts have value especially charizard since you can’t just grab one any time. Are there any squarecut Raichu on eBay? I think what you paid is a bit high, but it has value. Depends on the collector since there is such a division in desirability. Personally, I say 300-500 is fair, but when will you ever see a BGS squarecut zard again???

As long as there’s no 7 or 7.5 subs I’d put it north of 400.00.

There are many factory cut ones (i still have a dozen or two) but as my boy jk said, you must just assume all are hand cut because proper provenience gets lost as they change hands. I have several that are BGS 9.5s with all 9.5 or better subs. That would be hard to accomplish with aftermarket cut sheets.
There is a difference that some of us can normally distinguish if they are in hand but don’t count on that.
