At expense of getting cancelled… IMO the starters after gen 5 have just gotten more and more ugly (maybe with the exception of a handful of the 1st stage evolutions)…

I’d even go as far as to say that Gen 2 was probably the last generation where all starters had really great designs. After that there’s usually at most one starter that I like from each gen.

Wasn’t sure how most people felt about modern Pokemon – I think I agree with you though. Of the hundreds of post DPP era Pokemon, I kind of hate the vast majority of them. I feel like TPCi’s creative juices have pretty much gone down the toilet – from turning boring, everyday objects into Pokemon, to the names they’ve come up for them… blech.
