Being impatient

How impatient are you while waiting for graded cards to return to you? And what do you do to pass the time?

I just wait for psa to send me the email " grades r ready" like today. My order will be here in 1 or 2 days. Besides that I dont stress or worry or constantly check it.

If I’m saving up for a card or waiting to get my grades back, I hang around on efour a lot and hunt for shiny Pokémon on my DS masuda method. I also have a couple other hobbies to occupy my Pokémon idle time

I pass the time by checking the PSA page a few times a week to see if my grades are ready. The past couple of times I’ve seen the grades posted before getting the notification email.

I also check the business day calculator www.timeanddate.com/date/workdays.html so I can better anticipate the timing.

Do you check the grades or wait until mail arrives? Last time was the first and only time I didn’t check first and it was killing me not knowing.

I check them!

I can’t wait to get my first order back
from the Efour grading service. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the return of the “Shadowless crew.” Maybe I’ll do it myself one day if I have a whole lot of cards on a consistent basis, and the time to go along with it. For now, I think it’s the best bet for anyone with 12+ cards to grade.

And what do you do to pass the time?
I wait…

Uhh yeah this one…^^^

It’s funny because I think the best way is to not to even think about the cards. I feel like the time passes by faster that way. I usually even forget some of the cards that I sent in even if it’s something that I’m excited to get graded. I know it sounds really dumb. I know I own a card and then it comes back from PSA and I’m like: Ah yes this one too!

Same here. I only check PSA’s website if I forgot the submission dates and need to plan accordingly for delivery. But regarding the cards themselves I don’t even look at the list.

I do check grades whne PSA tells me they are available though. Last order I forgot I had sent a Ooyama Pikachu (not particularly expensive, but one of my favourite cards), and was pleasantly surprised to find it graded 10 among all the other cards. In the end I got double the excitement as I was really happy with its condition when I got it raw, and then happy again when I was reminded I own a PSA 10 one.

I used wait on my toes. Couldn’t be patient, checked everyday.

I’m on sub 15 or so now and honestly forgot psa even has an order right now lol. I barely think about it. No time

Highly technical Data Center HVAC work, Engineering School, two kids, and a small business help pass the time. But I still think about the cards being graded.

Have patience young grasshopper!

Although I have had cards arrive and thinking, ah yes I’ve ordered this as well, I haven’t graded enough to have experienced this with returning PSA cards. I do agree that it’s best to just not think about it too much and just open the mail when they’ve arrived. Of course with the messages you get you know when to expect them somewhat, but thinking about them every second will only make the wait feel much, much longer.

It probably also depends on where you live, though. I personally live in Europe (and I know Sini does as well), so we are used to wait sometimes more than a month for packages to arrive. Most people from the US are used to less than 5 days shipping times I guess when buying domestic, and barely buy internationally (I assume), so waiting a few weeks for PSA to finish grading and sending the cards back might be a struggle I guess.

I also collect twisty puzzles, which primarily come from China. Shipping times of 3-5 weeks are normal in that case, and with pre-orders I sometimes had to wait 3+ months. So a few days more or less aren’t a problem for me.

As others have said, just go on with your regular day-to-day activities, and those PSA-cards will arrive before you’d know it.

PS: I must admit that I sometimes have more than 30 packages in transit towards me, so I also kill my time waiting for certain very exciting packages, by opening other less exciting packages. :stuck_out_tongue:

I sit outside employees houses and stare into the windows with a sign saying:

How long for my submission?

My eyes may glaze over and a wry smile happens to be shown on my lips…that is only because i have been there for 5 months
