There is also a lot of very clean 10’s that exist that stand well above the average 9 grade. The hobby is great in that you have the option to pay up for a near flawless card in a 10 or spend a lot less and get a vintage 8/9 copy that can also be very ‘clean’ looking. The 10’s I buy are cards I am confident would come back a 10 if graded today and I would never spend a 10 premium if I thought the card was really an 8 or 9.
