Anyone collect Legos?

Lego Legii?

Keeping with the spirit of the thread of if we collect, I’m in the process of packing my house to move and I just finished disassembling all my Lego sets and packing them up. Needless to say, seeing them all in one giant pile like this was…unnerving. I may have a problem. The pile of old 90s Lego system boxes on the right are my pride and joy, all original themed sets. The bigger boxes are all the cool newer display sets like Lion Knight Castle, Eldorado Fortress, Disney Castle, etc.

An underrated detriment to newer set design is how NOT fun they are to disassemble. My hands are beat to crap after all this…

With the amount of new posts in the thread i was prepared to witness some new cool sets, mocs, childhood collections and piles of bricks but instead i’m seeing an argument over one letter :smiling_face_with_tear:

They make tools for disassembling legos now. All sorts of styles for specific bricks as well. They usually work well.

I didn’t want to believe it, but Lego seems to agree:

I can’t help but feel like calling them legos instead of lego offends all the right kind of people

Yes, the plural of Lego is Lego. Saying this with some authority as I come from Denmark, the land of Lego.

I recently assembled and made a little display of some of my favorite old sets. Funny to see that others here had many of the same sets growing up! I also have a ton of newer Star Wars Lego, but have grown tired of looking at it, so it has all been disassembled and stored away for now.

The Architecture Skylines are my favorite series of Lego sets. Just need 2 more to have the whole series.

That globe looks so nice. Need to have that one now.
I also collect those architecture ones. Don’t have all but only the ones I like.

I serious hate everything “pixel”. I get a headache looking at it.
However both my sons want that ugly thing so I will gift it to them.

I used to make pixel sprites for game developer friends back in college, and I always thought the same thing. BUT if you stand WAAAaaaaaaaay back, it does look neat.

I managed to slowly build these purchases during last weeks, didn’t remember building lego technic took so much time! Also, the bonsai tree really isn’t the most family friendly build since the soil in the build is just 200 tiny loose tiles in different colours

Not a recent pickup, but something the algorithm threw my way today so enjoy:

LEGO Dino Megazord 大獣神

I was blown away by the level of detail and complexity! Looking forward to his Dragonzord MOC.

The last thing I expected to impulse buy at Collect-a-Con was a Lego set… Price was too good to not buy it

The display of your Botanical collection is really nice, love to see it and I think I might get some of those as well in the future.

A couple weeks ago I bought the Sunflowers for my wife which she really liked. Last week we went to the Lego store and she insisted (for the first time ever) that we pick up some more of the Botanical sets. We bought the Wildflower Bouquet which I am currently building.

The Wildflower one is the next on my wife’s list.

The sunflower looks great! Might have to look at those too.

I might pick up that Plum Blossom to put on some shelves in the living room.

I currently have the Tiny Plants and Succulents from The Botanical Collection on my small living room table, for which I’ve posted the boxes in this thread back in December:

Greetz.
