I’ve contributed now

@elshod @thsigma I want both of these so badly! They’re both so cool!! My friend has the Galaxy Explorer, and he said it’s amazing.
Good lord I remember this set! Man the nostalgia is THICK on this one. Another favorite for me was Aquazone, I wanted to mine those underwater crystals so bad.
@pierce Serious question how do you keep the dust off of it? I have distinct memories of my sets collecting so much dust from years of sitting out.
I’ve been a lego builder for years and technically I am a collector because I have tons of sets and minifigures being sorted in plastic containers piece by piece for building other stuff.
But I never tried to “collect” lego sets.
However I really wanted to have a full collection of all sets from the “Ice Zombies” arc of Legends of Chima. Those were one of my favorite designs.
I hoarded tons of Sir Fangar CCBS heads that I used for different builds but want to get him sealed in a box.
I blame pokemon cards for that! I just want to own a “sealed” thing as well now
PS:
Besides that i would really love to get both of these AquaSharks sets sealed - were my favorite 90s lego back then!
I guess these posts are something like “2023-2024” Lego goals haha.
“LEGOALS”
Sick! I remember these!
I have them in my “stacks” unfortunately. Good times.
Legends of Chima looks really cool. I don’t remember ever seeing these. Are they new-ish? older than 5 years?
Thanks, @VinnieCannoli, you sent me down a really cool rabbit hole. Chima led me to this Monkie Kid series Lego has, which has a really cool design theme. Might pick up one of two of the mechs…
Dangit! My budget…
Legends of Chima was released back in 2013. Their last “season” was about ice zombies that are basically “white walkers” from Game of Thrones haha.
Monkey Kid is also one of the crazy-cool sets filled with all kinds of stuff. It’s mostly China Exclusive if remember correctly.
Really!? I wondered if that was the case… The Monkey King is a really interesting part of Chinese mythology. This series definitely alludes to it,
As a random aside, the new star wars UCS venerator looks great
DAMMIT, Lego! I need to find a girl that’s as big a sci fi nerd, so she’ll let me buy and build these… but then we’d have to split them up if we split… Nah, kids are easier.
I could adopt you…
