Hello, I’m ShuckleNorris!
A couple of months ago I (again) completed my all-languages Shuckle master set. As far as I know, I’m the only one who has managed this so far, but I also know there are more people with the same or similar goal. I’ve gotten requests for pictures of different cards to verify whether they exist, or what holo pattern they have, and similar.
Real images (not just digital versions) of the cards were something I also wished for when hunting for the cards myself. Now that I’ve managed to collect all variants I know of, I figured I’d give others what I wished for myself!

Neo Genesis - Ken Sugimori
Released 2000-2001 in Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
The 1st edition in Spanish is, in my experience, by far the hardest one to find in this set.
Neo Revelation - Yuka Morii
Released 2000-2002 in Japanese, English, Italian, French, and German. Not released in Spanish, making it a bit smaller than Neo Genesis.
None of these should be particularly hard to find, but I found the German 1st edition to be the least easy and most expensive.
Pokémon VS - Tomokazu Komiya
Janine’s Shuckle, only released in Japanese in the middle of 2000. This has gotten a bit pricy lately unfortunately, but it shouldn’t be hard to find.
Skyridge - Tomokazu Komiya
Released 2002-2003 in Japanese, English, German, and Italian.
This is the first time we see a Shuckle card with reverse holo, and the distinction between 1st edition and unlimited edition in Japanese.
Ex Unseen Forces - Miki Tanaka
2005-2006 we saw this set released in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, and for the first time Portuguese! It’s also the first time we see a stamp on a Shuckle card! Japanese they’re just 1st ed/UED though.
Secret Wonders - Emi Yoshida
Most languages released this artwork 2007-2008, but the Korean version wasn’t released until the end of 2010.
Available in Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, English, German, French, and Korean.
HeartGold & SoulSilver - Sumiyoshi Kizuki
Released 2009-2010 in Japanese, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and German. First time we see a Japanese Shuckle in reverse holo!
All have the cosmos holo pattern except Portuguese which has Saturn holo pattern.
HGSS Black Star Promos - match
Promo cards released in 2010 in English, French and Japanese, and a year later in Italy.
The Japanese card here is the most expensive Shuckle card. It was only released to participants in an event in Japan at the time. English and French released these in triple blister packs, with the Italian I haven’t been able to confirm how it was released unfortunately.
Legendary Treasures - MAHOU
Released in 2013, only released in Japanese, Korean, and English. This is the first (and currently only) card that features two Shuckles! It’s also the first card with a special reverse holo pattern (only English).
In Japanese we have this artwork in 1st edition/UED with normal and reverse holo for both.
The Korean reverse holo is, in my experience, the hardest to find of all Shuckle cards (at least for someone outside Korea). The UED reverse holo in Japanese also isn’t easy to get hold of.
Fates Collide - sui
Released in 2016 in Korean, Japanese, English, Italian, Spanish, German, French, and Portuguese. Most of these are easy to find but the Japanese (Awakening Psychic King) UED can be a bit tricky.
Lost Thunder - Masakazu Fukuda
This artwork has been released in many different sents between 2019 and 2022. Currently, it’s the most printed artwork with Shuckle. Available in Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Korean, T-Chinese, Indonesian, and S-Chinese.
It’s released in two different sets in Korean and Japanse: sm12a and sm7a. In Korean, sm12as only comes in reverse holo.
Lost Thunder - 5ban Graphics #1
Another artwork originally from Lost Thunder, but released as late as 2023 in case!
The first GX and full art card for Shuckle. Released in Japanese, English, French, German Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Thai, T-Chinese, Indonesian, and S-Chinese.
The S-Chinese also released a non-holo version of this card as part of a Battle Party Set.
Lost Thunder - 5ban Graphics #2
The second artwork made by 5ban Graphics for the Lost Thunder/Thunderclap spark set but not released as widely, “only” in Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Thai and Indonesian.
Lost Thunder - 5ban Graphics #3
A rainbow card! Beautiful artwork, released in the same languages as the second, i.e. Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, Thai and Indonesian.
This card has gone up in price a bunch lately so it might be a bit pricy to get hold of nowadays unfortunately.
(btw, I didn’t do any image editing, I think the camera auto-calibrates the colors a bit and it was getting late in the evening when I took these so they look a bit weird, sorry about that).
Rebel Clash - HYOGONOSUKE
Another large release, with most in 2020. Available in: Japanese, Korean, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, T-Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, and since 2023 also S-Chinese.
While all reverse holos have a some cool pattern, the S-Chinese has a different one!
This is probably my favorite artwork. I really like the color palette and the style itself, though the pictures didn’t end up great.
Vivid Voltage - Mizue
Another lovely set released in 2020 but a bit later. Available in Japanese, T-Chinese, Korean, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Indonesian, and S-Chinese.
Obsidian Flames - Kurata So
Released in 2023, so a pretty recent set still. Available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, T-Chinese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, and S-Chinese.
Here we have the first Pokéball and Masterball reverse holo pattern on a Shuckle card, exclusive to Simplified Chinese.
Mega Evolution - OKUBO #1
The currently latest set, from 2025! For the first time we also see a Shuckle card in Latin American Spanish.
Available in: Japanese, T-Chinese, English, Indonesian, Korean, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, French, German, Italian, Japanese, T-Chinese, and Korean.
In Japanese, T-Chinese, and Korean it’s reased as part of Start Deck too.
Mega Evolution - OKUBO #2
An AR showing Shuckle sleeping around berries, good times!
Available in Japanese, T-Chinese, English, Indonesian, Korean, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, French, German, and Italian.
These are all the Shuckle card variants in existence as far as I know. Please let me know if I’m missing something!
