Adhi's Mudkip Collection

I was going to write this update a few days ago when I arrived in Indonesia, but I’m still dealing with the worst jet lag of my life. Between long flights, time zone changes, and weeks of back-to-back late-night events before my vacation, my sleep schedule didn’t stand a chance.

After months of dealing with bureaucratic hurdles in Germany, I was finally able to fly to Indonesia. Once I arrived, my twin sibling had already laid out all the Indonesian cards on my table. At first glance, I immediately fell in love with the silver-border Mudkip cards. It made me wonder: if the Indonesian Mudkip cards from the Sun & Moon era already look this good, how amazing must the older ones be? I’m still debating whether to commit to Japanese cards too (since I already made a Japanese Mudkip list). It would definitely be great for the Mudkip collection journey, but would it be good for my wallet’s disposable income? Who knows. (And is this how all all-language species collectors start?)

Next year, I’ve also decided to collect the German non-holo non–Black Star Promo versions while continuing to complete the English cameos.

And without further ado, here is my Indonesian Mudkip Evo Line collection.

As mentioned in my previous post, my Indonesian Mudkip evo line progress is 12/15. I’m still missing the three evo line cards from the SCC deck. I check Indonesian marketplaces periodically but haven’t had any luck so far, but one can dream of completing the set someday.

I also have another section of the Indonesian collection for non-TCG items. These are Mudkip Tretta and Advanced Staks that I randomly found on Tokopedia. I tried to find Mezastar as well, but couldn’t. (I actually found the full Tretta evo line at my usual store, but Swampert, as usual, was exceeding my non-TCG budget, so I settled for Mudkip only.)

On top of that, my twin sibling also bought me some Indonesian cards. Their favorite artist is Tomokazu Komiya, so they picked up an Alolan Vulpix (my go-to Pokémon in Pokémon Unite) illustrated by Komiya, as well as Plusle and Minun because the duo is just too cute. They also got me the Pikachu Berkemeja Batik promo because the background reminded them of a pride flag, so they bought it as my Pride Month gift this year.

And that wraps up this year’s Mudkip collection update. Wishing everyone a happy holiday and a very happy new year. May you spend this season with loved ones and/or get some well-deserved rest before the journey ahead.

Cheers,
Adhi
