Can I play bad cop for a moment? Guru says he bought the box from someone who says he had it in their basement/safe/whatever for the past 20 years. The box then gets opened and contains modern product. So either the previous owner is a liar, or Guru is, correct? What if Guru purchased the real deal, kept it for himself or sold it in some way, then set up a fake resealed box to be opened on stream and then demands to get his money back from the previous owner?

Maybe Guru and the dumb money guy are in on it together and someone they know or one of them have a real 1st edition box and now everyone believes that 375k$ is an “accepted” sale price despite the deal not going through. I’m not saying the box isn’t worth 375K$ but it seems to be the new threshold.

Welp. Someone decided to do a closer look at their Fossil box after today’s video and it was indeed fake resealed in a similar manner as well with the bubble wrap on the side. Hopefully not the first of many but at these prices there is a lot of incentive for scammers to expand into WOTC wraps.

That one is a pretty obvious reseal. The box has significant creasing and other damage but the shrinkwrap is in pristine shape. The person who resealed that one didn’t try very hard lol.

If anything the value on mint boxes just went up compared to boxes that show any sign of wear.

No, consistent wear and tear to the seal/box actually is one of the best ways to verify a box. When he said that the scratches and dings on the plastic wrap did not appear on the box, my spidey senses went off big time!

Your skin produces sebum and when you have hair the hair will soak it up and make it shiny. If you let your hair get greasy without showering for a few days you can see this shiny effect better. When someone is bald theres nothing to soak up the sebum so it just sits there and makes the head shiny Maybe CG wasn’t able to hop in the shower this morning?
