After watching the trailer for the new 30th anniversary trailer for the tcg , im left with more questions than answers. Anyone have any cool theories on what we can possibly be getting?

The tough part is that anyone’s theory would just be as much a shot in the dark as anyone else’s. I could theorize that Pokemon would discontinue the use of leaf energies and it would have just as much evidence as someone who said that we’d be getting something cool.
Honestly their announcement was a mega letdown for me

They showcased cards in multiple languages over the past 30 years, but not the actual cards from the set. So my guess is there will be a new gimmick that allows the set to feature illustrations from the past but will still be treated as brand new cards
- Think back to SM6a Champion Road, which brought back cards from Neo to ex era but with the updated Sun & Moon format
Or, the most tame assumption is that this could be a small set with Mew and Mewtwo as the chase mascots of Celebration Collection (Mew was the chase of 25th Anniversary Collection). Card outlines teased in the visual should at least mean there will be Mew ex and Mewtwo ex

all they really did was say “yup, we’ve made cards for 30 years, we will keep doing that”. lol. Honestly I think that was a very good choice.

Same to be honest. There are alot of new people that were probably expecting something they could overhype, and I love how Pokemon just kept it kind of a mystery. Im sure TPCI knows whats going on, and doesnt want the TCG to overshadow any of their other products. Overall I think everything had a mutual likability for the fans, and that was enough.
