Pokedex entries can be weird/entertaining sometimes. Golem’s in Pokemon Red says, “Its boulder-like body is extremely hard. It can easily withstand dynamite blasts without damage.” Which means somebody definitely tried it!

I made it this far without posting a Slow, but today is the day. Trade Slowpoke holding a King’s Rock to get Slowking!
This is Hama Chan’s Slowking, it was illustrated by the actor who voiced Slowking in the Japanese release of the Pokemon movie. This silly card was distributed via Corocoro Comic

I planned on posting this card on the March 3 entry (A feel-good card) at first, but when I scrolled down and saw this, I figured it’s more suitable to wait for this date. I still think this is the most adorable TCG artworks there is, no contest.

Cheated a bit here as it’s not a card, but a whole deck! I love the artwork on the Nivi City Gym deck box and knew I had to use it for this prompt.

Everything about this card brings joy. I love that it’s Snorlax and I love that it was designed by a child. It perfectly captures the “Pokemania” of the late 90s and the way Pokemon brought (and continues to bring) joy to so many children.

I struggled with this prompt as none of the Jigglypuff/Clefairy/Nido cards in my collection are cards that particularly stand out to me. There are some great illustrations for these Pokemon in the e-Series, but I sadly don’t have any of them yet! So in the end I decided to go with this vintage Jungle holo, which for some reason reminds me of Megan Trainor and now I can’t unsee it

Misty is one of my favourite characters in Pokemon and there are a ton of great cards featuring Misty or her team, but in the end I went for what is probably an obvious choice… the infamous banned Misty’s Tears card.

The VS Series has some great cards and this holo Steelix is definitely one of the highlights. No further explanation needed - just look at it!
