Not sure how I possibly missed this.

@DeekBoy !!! Did you see this?

edit: gonna level with you guys, if I have a killer idea for a photo with a card I don’t own, i’m just printing off from the printer. XD

THANKS FOR THE TAG!! I will hop on this idea and get a card out for sure!

A pretty unassuming card for today’s prompt, but this was the first Pokemon card I ever got. One of my neighbours gave it to me when I was about 6 years old. I distinctly remember it being creased right across the middle (I don’t have my childhood collection anymore so this one is in a lot better shape!) but I didn’t care. Even though I had no idea what the TCG was at the time, I was delighted to be given it! To this day, I still get a wave of nostalgia whenever I see this card.

A bit late for the first two days.. But:

Unfortunately, Torterra doesn’t have that many cool artworks, but as my favorite starter Pokémon, it immediately came to mind. Of the Torterra TCG artworks available, this one would be my favorite:

For Trainer, it’s a split between these two. Although I primarily collect English FA Supporter/CHR cards (since they’re cheaper and I can read their names..), I don’t mind that this Erika’s Kindness is a Japanese-exclusive, since the colors on this card are very well done by kodama.
And the Japanese L-P era contains some of the best holo trainer cards in the hobby imo. Almost all of them are great. A lot of them are trophy cards, but this Lost Remover isn’t, so when I first saw it I immediately bought a copy for my general collection.

My favorite Steel-Type TCG card and my favorite Scizor card in general, and in extension, my favorite Bug-Type TCG card. Such a cool artwork.

Quuador

PokeDude is a special Trainer card and really just has a unique place in TCG promo history. Just the card text and also the person illustrated is non other than Hironobu Yoshida who not only played the character on live TV but also designed iconic Pokemon like Rayquaza, Deoxys and Darkrai.

Cheers!

Does this count as a rayquaza card since he designed it, also how much is it?

The first non-base holo I remember pulling. My mom bought me some Jungle packs for having learned to tie my shoes. Time flies!

I’m generally not a huge lover of bug type Pokemon but I love Heracross’s design and I love this card and the way it mimics a battle scene in the video games.

One of my favorite cards — Scyther looks very aggressive. A card from the HG/SS era, when I started buying expensive cardboard. From the Undaunted expansion.

I mean he also designed Deoxys so might be a bit of conflict of interest for you! Tbh if you think about it, your most loved and most hated Pokemon came from the mind of the same creator. If there was no Deoxys, there might not be a Rayquaza as well.

Cheers!

A Rock type from Pewter City.

Although not officially a Pokemon owned by Brock, I have find memories of the anime and watching Ash and team care for a Larvitar. I always thought it would end up with Brock but it never happened.

Cheers!
