Can someone help me understand what value increase cards being sequential serial numbered are
I don’t get it either. I’ve never understood why you’d care about what a card’s cert number is. But hey different strokes for different folks.

To people who care about graded serial numbering and “sets” probably 1.25x-2x.
To those who dont, none.
People with complexes or medical conditions may be the ones who care about that sort of thing.

I don’t have any of those and I think sequentials are cool.
For a set of 3 $100 cards, I’d prolly pay like $350 if they were sequentially graded. Same for 3 $150 cards, I’d prolly pay $500 for them if sequential. So for me it’s not a percentage thing but a fixed rate.
I would also care more about it if it was a complete set. 2 random cards being sequential doesn’t make sense to me, but I could prolly be convinced. Let’s say you had a sequential set of base set unlimited Charmander evolution line in a 9, well then that would be cool. The set would have to make sense most of the time, but even outside of that I could convince myself otherwise.
I say set a small $25/50 premium and see if anyone bites. If nothing comes after a while then I think you got your answer

Sometimes I can make sense. It may show cards are related. Like, a sequential KIDS WB Creator Pack set is likely all from the same owner. Which I honestly would pay a little extra for.
I’ve paid premiums for sequential certs, but only for cards that are meant to be collected together. It’s pretty neat and inherently difficult to replicate.
Unnecessary drive-by from someone who doesn’t collect graded cards.

I believe it makes a difference for PSA 10 only (cert is more visible than cgc/bgs), and because it could show that they were graded at the same time, from the same pack, in the correct order, etc.

Thats fair.
It was a hasty comment that was poorly structured.
I moreso meant that is who would be in the general buyer pool of a sequential set, not that those are the exact and only options for people who find novelty in them.
@Goldee007, two cards from a set, unless they are clearly compliments of eachother, are not going to have a premium for being sequential. If it were a full set, it sounds like an extra 10-15% is the premium.

As others here have said, there can be a small premium for a few cards in sequential order if theyre are an evo line or connecting artworks. These cards dont really have any connection besides being in the same set, so I don’t see them giving any premium for being sequential.

So these two I have would there be any increase in money. I actually have 15 cards graded from this 2001 Japanese web set in sequencial serial numbers
I would say no tbh. Unless it was like all the holos in number order in which case possibly a very small one if they’re all 10s.
I don’t think many notice / read CGC cert numbers, I think people notice PSA cert numbers more.
I don’t think you’d get much of a premium as you’d probably get more individually, but always worth a go listing for higher to see if you get any bites! Web series is great
